Well, there we were sitting in our living room at the Model House all us four. When we got an email by a so called contestant asking if all this was a scam.

This was a bg surprise not to say the least. We have always sent out free goodies and never ever asked you for any thing else but to follow us online and join the competition.

Well you may ask why it takes so long, well one of the reasons is because TV showes take forever to get a home on a Network. You see the more contestants we get the easier it becomes. Which will be greatin a way.

America’s Next Top Model took about 5 years before it got on TV!!! Did any of you know that. No….. Not really right. You did not even know that.

So lets just say when the show comes on air….. we hope you are still there to be one of the chosen ones.

Have a Happy 2011

All the best

Get to know your host Anna Singleton

Anna is an outgoing fun Model House Host from London, England.  Find out more about her right here on the Model House Blog.

Where were you born?
London, England.

What brought you to the States?
A boy, love, adventure.

When did you first start hosting?
When I was 19 on this TERRIBLE channel, people could call in and win money for answering a question. It was so crappy and low budget, on occasion I even had to hold the background up behind me with one hand and I had to talk non stop for 8 hours.

What was your very first job?
Dominoes Pizza, Anna speaking.

What did you get for Christmas?
A VERY cute and somewhat naughty puppy, named Mr Chips.

How do you like living in LA?
Sometimes its fantastic other days its lonesome.

What do you find different about living in LA to London?
The architecture, I miss old  bricks. The people are so grumpy and miserable in London but I like that for some reason. The traffic is so wrong here and the portion sizes are WAY too big, I am the girl who always clears her plate and I am piling on the pounds.

What other shows have you worked on?
A bunch of British Shows some awful some wonderful but I always love something about them.

If you could do any job, what would it be?
A Host,  Private Investigator or a Spy.

What would you say your passion in life is?
Adventure, need it always.

Who do you look up to?
My Boyfriend, how anybody could be so smart I just do not know.

Where would you like to be in 10 years and what would you like to be doing? I would like to 6 months a year in London and  6 months here and have awesome Hosting jobs in both places, perhaps a couple of oversized properties and some fast cars  – a girl can dream right?

Starbucks or Coffee Bean?

What is your favorite Starbucks/Coffee Bean  Drink?
Coffee with cream

Who is  your favorite designer?
There isn’t one I favour.

Where do you like to shop?

Who is your favorite celebrity?
The Queen

What is your favorite Film?
Shawshank redemption and Finding Nemo.

What is your favorite Song?
It is totally mood dependant.

Where are you from?

Born and raised in lovely Los Angeles.

Do you find most of the people you meet are from somewhere else in LA?

Absolutely.  LA is an incredibly large city and extends for so many miles, my friends seem to live all over the place!  Sometimes, it can take an hour to get to someone’s house… even if they still live in Los Angeles!  I’ve also chosen to live a little bit out of the way, which I’m really loving at the moment.  I live in a smaller neighborhood on the east side of the city, right near the San Gabriel Mountains.  I love to go hiking and do things out in nature, and it’s a little bit quieter out here and low-key, which can be a nice contrast to the rest of my life (although you can still spot plenty of famous faces the local cafes– gotta love LA!)  Moving from New York, where I was always in the thick of it, it was really great to settle in to something more… peaceful.

Have you lived anywhere else?

When I first left LA, I moved to Santa Barbara for school.  It’s a small city, just up the coast from LA.  It’s beautiful there.  It’s where I became a vitamin-popping, organic fruit-and-veggie-eating hippie.   I thought Manhattan would be a good place to bring out my cosmopolitan side, so that was the next move.  That’s where I became a foodie and stopped taking s**t from people.  Then… LA!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Paris.  I’d have to work on my French (as in, expand my 5-word vocabulary), but I absolutely love it there!   They’re big on quality in France.  I dig that.

What does being a MH host mean to you?

Well, for starters, a great adventure!  I can’t wait to travel with all the other girls, and meet people from all over.  It’s like going on vacation… for work!   But I’m also really excited to help our contestants. I got my first acting job just by being approached by a casting director when I was out with my friends, but I grew up here in LA. That doesn’t happen everywhere, so I’m really excited to extend the opportunity to girls from all over.

What is your favorite passion?

Hmmm… there are so many!  FOOD!  Haha!  Well, I am pretty passionate about food.  I love to eat, and I love the process ofpreparing what ends up on my plate. I especially love when attention is paid to the details.  Cooking is an art and a good meal should be an experience!  At a good restaurant, even the bread that they set on the table before the meal should be delectable and unique, and if there’s butter or oil to dip it in, it should have an amazing flavor all on its own, AND be the PERFECT compliment to the loaf of bread that tastes like HEAVEN!   And that’s just the beginning of the meal… I could go on, but I think you get the point.  : )  I once went out with a guy who had never met someone who got so excited about all those “little details” and thought I should do a stand-up comedy routine where I reflected on my restaurant experiences in front of an audience.  THAT’S how ridiculous he thought I was.  I guess I can go a little over-board… but it is my FAVORITE passion!!!

If you could choose any career what would it be?

Hmmm… Maybe I should open a restaurant?

Where would you like to be in 5 years?

I actually like having no idea where I’ll be in 5 years!  I find that whenever I make “plans,” something completely different happens, and whatever ends up actually happening turns out to be much better than my original idea, anyway!  All I want is to be happy and healthy, to be enjoying my life and having adventures, and to be surrounded by great friends and lots of love.  Hmmm… that sounds pretty good!

Was acting a natural step for you coming from LA?

I would say so. I just kind of fell into it, living out here.  As I said earlier, I got my first acting job when I was a kid, just from being spotted on the street by a casting director.

If you could be a super hero which would it be and why?

SuperWOMAN, for sure!  It’s been a life-long dream of mine to be able to fly!  I guess I’d have to save people and do heroic things, too.

Describe yourself in three words?

Passionate, thoughtful, light-hearted.

What makes you happy?

Going on a run, camping, road trips, a great book, a song that’s at just the right pitch to sing along with, seeing someone achieve something after working hard, stand-up comedy, feeling like someone gets me, being in love, birthday cake, getting to know people, family, holidays, my cat, my friends, panna cotta, a plate of raw oysters, seeing someone else who is happy.

What makes you sad?

When life is not valued.  When people are mistreated by others, or perhaps worse, by themselves.  Regret.  Abuse.  Discrimination.  Theft.  Oppression.  When people are denied their right to pursue their own happiness in peace.  When people are denied peace… that really breaks my heart.

Is there a special childhood memory you would like to share?

I got peed on in a movie theatre when I was a kid.  Yes.  Peed on.  I went with my family went to see “Titanic,” and it’s a long movie and there’s… well, water everywhere.  Anyway, during the last minute of the movie, I guess this girl who was sitting a few seats away from me couldn’t wait any longer and had to run to the restroom.  In her attempt to crawl over me to get to the aisle, she happened to have a little “accident” on my leg.  I was horrified.  I guess that’s not very special, but that’s what came to mind.

Tell us who is your idol and why?

Clint Eastwood.  He’s such an artist and he’s so good at what he does… and he does everything!  He produces, acts, directs, composes… and he simply makes great, quality films.  I love to see someone who doesn’t put limits on what they can do.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?

Take chances and stay open to possibilities.  You never know what life will bring!
